Blackburn Rovers have opened new contract talks with David Dunn.
The Lancashire Telegraph says the in-form midfielder's current deal expires in the summer but contact has now been made between Rovers and Dunn's representatives with a view to starting more serious negotiations.
Both parties are believed to be keen to extend Dunn's time in East Lancashire but, with talks still at a very early stage, neither the player nor the club see any reason to rush the process.
