Blackburn Rovers are reportedly ready to fund a club-record £10m bid for Spanish striker Roberto Soldado, and offload Benni McCarthy to finance the deal. The 24 year old Getafe hitman scored 63 times for Real Madrid's 'B' team and has been capped at every level for his country.
He moved to his current club for £4m in 2008 and has continued his impressive record with 20 strikes in the Primera Liga.
Rovers previous record deal was the £8m they paid for Andy Cole eight years ago.
