Blackburn Rovers have missed out on a £2 million windfall from Phil Jones' Manchester United title triumph.
The Sun says Rovers insisted on a series of clauses when they sold Jones to Manchester United for an initial £16m two years ago.
One was for an extra payment if United won the Premier League and Jones started half the matches.
But he has started only 10 times this season due to injury.
