France international left-back Gael Givet is due at Ewood Park this week for a Blackburn Rovers medical, with a view to a loan deal until the end of the season.

Givet has not featured for Olympique Marseille this season and will have to prove his fitness.

Rovers boss Sam Allardyce is also targeting a right-sided player.
