Blackburn Rovers are locked in talks with Benfica for fullback Jorge Ribeiro.

Rovers have asked Benfica about price for the defender, says the Daily Mail.

Ribeiro, 29, had two years in Russia with Dynamo Moscow and is available from Benfica after spending last season on-loan at Vitória Guimarães.

Rovers hope to snap up the Portugal international for a cut-price fee.
