Blackburn Rovers are cooling reports of interest in Southampton fullback Chris Baird.

The 25-year-old, who is rated in the £2.5 million bracket, recently handed in a transfer request at St Mary's and he has since been linked with moves to Rovers and Fulham.

However, the Northern Ireland international, who can play at right-back and centre-half, is not on Rovers boss Mark Hughes' list of targets for the summer, says the Lancashire Evening Telegraph.
