South Korea World Cup midfielder Ku Ja Cheol is in the sights of Blackburn Rovers boss Sam Allardyce.
The Mirror says Allardyce has sent his pal Brian Talbot - one of Rovers's talent spotters - to see Ku in action for his club Jeju United and will make a bid if he impresses.
Ku has been on trial at Blackburn but his chances to impress were hit by the bad weather during the January window. Now he has gone back to South Korea and will be watched there.
Allardyce is looking to strengthen his midfield and is at the head of the queue for Ku, with Rovers keen to make a decision on him before the finals in South Africa.
Ku would get a work permit to come to Blackburn and his signing would also help them on the commercial side - with potential sponsorship deals in the offing.
