Blackburn Rovers goalkeeper Frank Fielding is a fall-back option for Derby County boss Nigel Clough.
The Daily Mail says Derby have tried to sign Burnley goalkeeper Lee Grant on loan but if they fail will turn to Blackburn Rovers' Fielding.
England under-21 international Fielding would replace Stephen Bywater who was ruled out for at least a month after breaking his wrist.
