Blackburn hope to wrap up deal for Marseille's Civelli

Blackburn Rovers hope to snap up Marseille defender Renato Civelli on a Bosman.

The Mirror says Civelli s a strapping 6ft 4in centre-half who is also capable of playing at right-back. He is out of contract soon and is seen as an ideal replacement for Andre Ooijer, who has just left Blackburn to join PSV Eindhoven.

Civelli's younger brother Luciano is already in England, having signed for Ipswich in January.
