Blackburn Rovers hero Craig Short is being linked with the Notts County job.
The Daily Mail says Short, who is leaving his post as boss of Hungarian club Ferencvaros, is in the running at his old club County alongside ex-Watford and Reading boss Brendan Rodgers.
Former Rovers captain Short has been in charge of Ferencvaros for the past 12 months.
