Blackburn Rovers hero Kevin Gallacher is against the appointment of Tottenham coach Tim Sherwood as new manager.

The Scot would prefer someone with more experience with Ian Holloway and Mick McCarthy among the possibilities.

He told The Sun: "It's important they get the right man in now. I'd like to see Harry Redknapp come north and take the job."
