Blackburn go for Haestad

Blackburn Rovers are reported to be planning a shock move to bring Kristofer Haestad back to England.

The midfielder's loan spell from IK Start was cut short by Wigan allowing him to return to Norway in April after he failed to impress at The JJB Stadium.

Haestad has recaptured his best form for IK Start and the player's agent Rune Hauge claims Blackburn are interested in the Norwegian international.

"I can confirm that there is interest." Hauge told fvn.no.

"I have talked to Blackburn recently and Kristofer is on their list.

"I would not be surprised if Rovers table an offer when the [transfer] window opens."

However, Haestad is reluctant to consider a move back to England after his experience at Wigan.

"I am surprised that it comes up that fast," said Haestad.

"To move to England again is not something I am thinking about after what happened at Wigan."
