Blackburn Rovers are struggling to put together a loan deal for Sunderland striker Connor Wickham.

The People says Blackburn's bid to sign Wickham on loan from Sunderland is in danger of collapse.

Wickham was wanted by Rovers but they spent their cash and effort on landing Jordan Rhodes from Huddersfield - and have backed away from the chase.
