Blackburn Rovers fullback Michel Salgado reckons Tottenham are more than capable of upsetting former club Real Madrid.
Salgado is in no doubt Spurs will offer Real a significant test of their European credentials.
"Madrid got through to the quarter-finals after a long time and against a weak team - Lyon are not the team they used to be, so I think Tottenham is a challenge for Real Madrid," Salgado said.
"If you ask me about the chances for Tottenham, it depends on what happens in the first leg. It is massive. It is also important that [Aaron] Lennon and [Gareth] Bale are fit.
"If Tottenham get a draw in the first leg, it will be good for them, because the atmosphere at White Hart Lane will be fantastic.
"If they get the result, it will be very tough for Real Madrid to beat them."
