Blackburn Rovers fans consider themselves to be among the unluckiest supporters in the country, according to new research released by the National Lottery, reports the Lancashire Telegraph
More than 2,000 football fans from across the country were surveyed and Blackburn Rovers supporters considered their club to be unlucky last season, putting it in the bottom six places when it comes to footballing fortune across Britain.
In particular, fans felt aggrieved with referees, with 78 per cent thinking decisions went against their team.
Penalty decisions did not fare much better with 67 per cent claiming that Rovers did not get a fair rub of the green.
A third of fans believed Old Trafford was their unluckiest venue.
But only 22 per cent claimed to be superstitious, compared to the national average of 27 per cent.
