Blackburn Rovers boss Steve Kean faces disappointment in his pursuit of Newell's Old Boys attacker Mauro Formica.
Kean was eagerly anticipating the arrival of Formica, likening the 22 year-old to Argentine legend Gabriel Batistuta.
However, Monaco look set to disappoint Blackburn after they offered £2.75m to Newell's Old Boys for Formica.
The 22-year-old is heading to the principality for talks.
