Ghana striker Eric Bekoe is interesting Blackburn Rovers.

The News of the World says the predatory striker, 21, has been impressing in the Egyptian league for Petrojet, scoring 13 goals in his last 16 games.

Such a hot streak inevitably led to calls that he should be included in coach Milovan Rajevac's World Cup plans but he wasn't one of the four forwards named by the Serbian in his preliminary squad.

Petrojet's £2million valuation is unlikely to put off Rovers boss Sam Allardyce if he thinks the promising attacker has the ability to play in the Premier League.
