The Daily Mail says Kean looks certain to be sacked as Blackburn Rovers manager following a home defeat by Bolton Wanderers in a desperate Lancashire derby.

Club owners Venky's watched events unfold from their base in India as Blackburn slipped to their seventh home defeat of the season amid more fan protests and fell to last place behind Bolton.

Venky's, who appointed Kean a year ago following Sam Allardyce's sacking, are expected to act swiftly then start the search to find Kean's successor - with former boss Mark Hughes, who left in 2008, the fans' preferred choice.
