Blackburn, Everton, Man City chasing FC Twente winger Elia

FC Twente winger Eljero Elia is attracting big Premiership interest.

A host of English clubs took the opportunity to check on Elia last week when he travelled to England to play in the Uefa Cup game at Manchester City.

The left winger did not disappoint as he scored the opening goal, although he ended up on the losing side as City claimed a 3-2 win.

Elia, who can play as a forward but is normally found out wide, is now attracting keen interest from England - which is where the player himself is known to desire a move to.

Indeed when Valencia came calling in the summer, it is believed the player himself stated he would rather move to England.

And now, according to skysports.com, Hull, Blackburn, Everton and also Manchester City - who were very impressed by Elia's display against them - are believed to be keeping tabs on him.

A January move is now being closely looked at and although Elia has over two years left on his current deal - it is not believed that Twente would price him out of a transfer.
