Blackburn defender Olsson keen to meet Man Utd's Jones tonight

Martin Olsson is hoping he crosses paths with former Blackburn Rovers teammate Phil Jones at Wembley Stadium tonight.

The defender and the Sweden national team are preparing to take on England in an international friendly and Olsson has his fingers crossed that Fabio Capello selects the Manchester United young gun.

"I hope he plays right back, I've already warned him!" joked Olsson to the Lancashire Telegraph.

"He was one of my best friends in Blackburn and I'm talking with him still.

"Of course it is a game we all want to be involved in. Wembley Stadium is a great stadium to play in.

"Hopefully I get the chance to come up against Phil Jones for England and hopefully I get the better of him.

"None of us are surprised that he has done so well for Manchester United. He was doing it consistently for Blackburn Rovers last season and the season before.

"He will go on to be a regular for England and Manchester United. It will be good fun coming up against him."
