Blackburn Rovers boss Sam Allardyce is preparing a bid for Olympique Lyon striker Frederic Piquionne.
Piquionne, 30, has been followed by Allardyce since his days at St Etienne and is seen at Rovers as a replacement for new Manchester City signing Roque Santa Cruz.
Le Parisien says Allardyce is preparing a bid for Piquionne for Lyon to consider.
