The Sun says he looks set to leave Stoke and join Blackburn on loan.
The striker, 26, has struggled at the Potters since his £4million switch from Birmingham in July 2011.
Boss Tony Pulis said: “It would be good for Cameron. He’s a player that needs game time. It would be a three-month loan with a recall available after 28 days.
“But it’s a bit awkward as Rovers don’t have a manager at the moment.”
