Blackburn Rovers have launched a bid for Newell's Old Boys midfielder Mauro Formica.
Formica, 22, is flying to England to finalise a £4million transfer to Ewood Park despite interest from Galatasaray.
He has been recommended by agent Barry McIntosh, who brought Mauro Zarate, Christian Benitez and Andres d'Alessandro to the Premier League.
McIntosh said: "He is one of the hottest players on the scene in South America at the moment.
"Remember, he would be coming from a club who had had great players like Lionel Messi and Diego Maradona."
