Blackburn Rovers see Tottenham coach Tim Sherwood as a successor for Steve Kean.

The Mirror says Rovers' advisor Shebby Singh was at Tottenham's game with QPR on Sunday, and has been checking into the availability of Sherwood - the club's captain when they won the Premier League in 1995 - for weeks.

Singh is trying to talk Kean into taking a behind-the-scenes job at the Championship club, but the Scot is refusing to go quietly.

Kean, who took Rovers down last season but has them sitting third in the Championship, took training on Monday despite the latest attempt to oust him.
