Blackburn caretaker Kean: I turned down Chelsea

New Blackburn Rovers caretaker boss Steve Kean has revealed he could be working at Chelsea.

Kean insists he is always loyal to the managers he has worked under - although he does feel the time is right for him to run his own ship.

He worked with Chris Coleman at Fulham, Real Sociedad and Coventry before the pair finally went their separate ways last summer.

Kean said: "I was offered the chance to manage Sociedad when Chris left.

"Even though we were well placed, I decided because I was working so closely with Chris I should back him and leave as well.

"You take each decision as it comes. I was offered the chance to go and work with Chelsea when I was at Coventry.

"But Chris and I had only just arrived at Coventry and I felt loyalty.

"I decided to stay. But each set of circumstances is different."
