Blackburn Rovers are set to land Newell's Old Boys midfielder Mauro Formica.
The 22 year-old Argentine has left Newell's Old Boys' preseason training camp to return home to Rosario and prepare for his move to England, says Telam.
Newell's insiders say a bid from England has been received with Rovers offering between €3-4 million for Formica.
Genoa and Galatasaray had also been chasing the midfielder, but Formica is now expected to move to Ewood Park in the coming days.
