Blackburn Rovers boss Tony Mowbray is under consideration at West Brom.
The Mirror says Baggies fan favourites Derek McInnes and Mowbray are in the club's sights as they step up their search for a new manager.
Alan Pardew left the club by mutual consent at the start of the month with first-team coach Darren Moore put in temporary charge until the end of the season.
Moore will not get the job full time, though, and McInnes and Blackburn boss Mowbray are high on the list of potential replacements for Pards.
McInnes is very well liked by Baggies fans after three years as a player at The Hawthorns.
