Blackburn Rovers boss Steve Kean isn't ready to give up on landing Newell's Old Boys attacker Mauro Formica.
Kean has likened the Argentine to Gabriel Batistuta but faces stiff competition from AS Monaco for the 22 year-old.
"That's gone a little bit quiet so I'm not really sure where we're at," said Kean after victory over West Bromwich Albion.
"That'll be picked up today again and we'll see where we are with that."
