Blackburn boss Kean set for axe

Blackburn Rovers will not be releasing an official statement in relation to Steve Kean's managerial future at Ewood Park. Rovers suffered their first home defeat of the season in a 2-1 loss to Middlesbrough on Friday but are still second in the Championship table.

The owners' talks are expected to continue, but operations director Paul Agnew said on Monday morning the club will not be responding to media speculation at this time.
