Blackburn Rovers boss Steve Kean is ready to pitch in January signings Mauro Formica and Ruben Rochina.
After the duo starred in the Reserves' impressive 5-1 thrashing of Everton last Tuesday afternoon, Kean can seem them featuring if not against Fulham next weekend then certainly against Blackpool at Ewood on March 19th.
"It was a fantastic performance from all the lads," Kean told the Rovers website. "But the new lads Mauro and Ruben are just starting to get into a type of fitness level and intensity about their training where they can compete.
"Sometimes, as Michel Salgado found when he first came, even though you may have come from a competitive league abroad, if you come into the Barclays Premier League too early then the intensity and the pace can catch up with you.
"So we are just gradually getting them up to match fitness, both of them are doing really well.
"We could have put them in quickly but I was just afraid that with the intensity of the league could see them pick up an injury that would put them back six weeks, something we don't want to happen.
"But I would imagine the Fulham game and certainly the Blackpool game they'll be involved."
