Blackburn boss Kean pleased with his January business

Blackburn Rovers boss Steve Kean is pleased with their January work.

Rovers brought in a striker, a midfielder and a defender as Anthony Modeste, Marcus Olsson and Bradley Orr all joined the football club.

"We feel that we have strengthened in three positions," Kean told the Rovers website.

"I don't think there are too many other Premier League clubs that have made three signings as it has been a very quiet window.

"I said we would have liked to have gotten three or four faces in, and we've managed to get three in.

"I think they will add quality and will show to be good signings.

"We would have preferred players with a bit more Premier League experience, we tried, we were active, we chased several names with much more experience, but we were met with doors getting slammed in our face so we had to move on.

"But the lads that are in we are delighted to have got them."
