Blackburn boss Kean plans to use Hoilett sale to fund signing spree

Blackburn Rovers boss Steve Kean may cash in on Junior Hoilett to buy Fulham striker Andy Johnson.

The Mirror says Kean wants Fulham striker Johnson, Nottingham Forest full-back Chris Gunter and Manchester City defender Nedum Onuoha to join Rovers' fight for survival, but has been told he has to sell to fund signings.

While he is determined not to sacrifice captain and centre-back Chris Samba, despite strong interest from Tottenham and QPR, Kean is more willing to sell Hoilett, who has refused to sign a new deal at Ewood Park.

The Canadian forward is one of Blackburn's biggest assets and played a key role in keeping them up last season.
