Blackburn boss Kean: I do not want to offload Diouf

Blackburn Rovers boss Steve Kean has confirmed he doesn't want to lose El Hadji Diouf.

Diouf was at the centre of controversy earlier this month when he was accused of taunting an injured player by QPR boss Neil Warnock.

Kean said: "I am not looking to offload him at all. We are looking to add to the squad so we can have a strong second half.

"We want competition for places and would like two genuine players for each position, to be cutting each other's throat almost for the shirt.

"We have had interest coming in from other clubs but I spoke to him this week.

"He has 18 months left on his contract and he is happy to get his head down and work away."
