Blackburn Rovers boss Steve Kean is waiting for clearance from a specialist before deciding whether to play Gael Givet after the French defender suffered heart palpitations in last week's defeat at Sunderland.

Givet, 30, has experienced similar problems before but Kean is refusing to take any chances.

He said: "Our priority is his health. Gael is quite relaxed in that he knows what it is, but we want to do everything we can in his best interests."
