Blackburn boss Kean holds no grudge against West Brom midfielder Andrews

Blackburn Rovers boss Steve Kean hopes to prove wrong West Bromwich Albion midfielder Keith Andrews.

Andrews blasted Rovers' owners Venky's and Kean's man-management when he tore up his contract at Ewood Park to move to The Hawthorns.

Kean said: "It was a big gamble for him terminating his contract and going to West Brom until the end of the season, but that doesn't surprise me with Keith as he has belief in his own ability.

"I'm sure if it is not West Brom that takes him, he will get a good move in the summer.

"I had a lot of admiration for him as a player. When he came back from a loan spell at Ipswich he made it quite clear that he wanted to move on.

''I've always said if people want to be here and be part of it, great. I had no problem with him going, I respect his decision.

"But if he had said he wanted to stay and get his head down, I would have had no problem."
