Blackburn Rovers boss Steve Kean was delighted with Jermaine Jones' performance for the draw at Arsenal.
Kean revealed that it was all the more impressive considering the midfielder's heavy international schedule with the USA the preceding days.
He told the club's website: "Jermaine has been all around the world, he's been in New York, he's been in Nashville, he never got off a plane until 7 o'clock in the morning on Thursday, he was absolutely shattered.
"I think it typifies what we've got in the group that he didn't want to come off until his legs had almost seized up.
"He wanted to play, he didn't want to come off, he's got that quality and he's a winner."
