Blackburn boss Kean fumes at late Norwich leveller

Blackburn Rovers boss Steve Kean insists Norwich City's late equaliser 'was never a penalty' after seeing his side held to a 3-3 draw at Carrow Road, reports the Lancashire Telegraph. Referee Anthony Mr Taylor awarded the spot kick three minutes into injury time after penalising Steven Nzonzi for handball in the area.

Kean said: "Steven was pushed in the back and as he span around claiming for a foul and wondering where the ball was, it hits him in the arm.

"There is no way he could have meant that and there is no way it was not a foul. Of course it is a hard one to take."

He added: "We deserved to win the game and we have to take the positives from that.

"We played good football and would have won the game had it not been for that decision at the end."
