Blackburn Rovers boss Steve Kean was delighted with Yakubu's goal scoring debut in victory over Arsenal.
'The Yak' may not be the most mobile of players but as Rovers fans were already singing, feed him and he will score.
Kean said: "I think what the Yak does is bring experience to a young side. It was easy to play off him and for us to retain possession.
"I hope this will draw a line under the issue with that 1% of fans. Three points is massive, especially against Arsenal, and it's now looking very positive and very bright."
