Blackburn Rovers manager Steve Kean says he has been buoyed by support shown by Manchester United counterpart Sir Alex Ferguson.
Ahead of the meeting between the two clubs at Old Trafford on Saturday, Kean has revealed that he and fellow Scot Fergie spoke on the phone during the week with the experienced United gaffer giving him plenty of encouraging words.
"For him to take the time out to phone me and give me a message of support shows the stature of the man. I was really impressed.""What was said I would rather keep private but it was very encouraging," Kean told the BBC.
