Blackburn Rovers boss Steve Kean was pleased with Scott Dann's performance in their draw at Fulham.
Kean's only disappointment is that the £6million summer signing's partnership with Chris Samba will have to wait after the Rovers skipper hurt his back at Craven Cottage.
"Scotty does what it says on the tin," said the Blackburn boss. "He heads it, he kicks it and he is a leader, with a willingness to win.
"I thought that for his first game for us he was excellent. He showed the qualities he's got.
"I was disappointed that we didn't get to see his partnership with Chris Samba longer, but Chris' back locked up at half-time.
"He'd been having treatment on it and it had been niggling all week."
