Blackburn boss Kean aims to open Hoilett contract talks

Blackburn Rovers boss Steve Kean hopes to open new contract talks with Junior Hoilett this month.

Kean knows Hoilett's form last season has attracted admiring glances from bigger clubs.

Hoilett is seen as one of the jewels in the Ewood crown after an explosive end to the last campaign and Rovers are keen to extend his contract beyond next summer, says the Lancashire Telegraph.

The Canadian starlet is currently on a family holiday but Kean, who has returned from discussions with the club's owners in India, is bidding to get the youngster tied down as soon as possible.
