Blackburn boss Kean admits Dann injury concern

Blackburn Rovers boss Steve Kean admits injury concerns for defender Scott Dann after defeat to Newcastle United.

Dann sustained a knee injury when Leon Best fell on him as the Magpies scored their third goal at St James' Park.

"He's not great to be fair," Kean said about Dann on Rovers' official website.

"After Leon Best fouls him, he bundles him over and lands on him and he's got quite a nasty bang on his knee so we'll have to get that scanned.

"We've also got injuries to Gael Givet who also got a nasty bang and Michel Salgado is feeling his hamstring, but we had to keep both players on the pitch.

"So that is a lot of injuries to come out of one game."
