Blackburn Rovers boss Paul Ince admits he could hand Robbie Fowler a debut in tonight's Carling Cup clash with Everton.

Ince said: "We have a few injuries at the moment so I won't finalise the team until the day of the game.

"But it is an opportunity for Robbie, and other players to come in and show what they are capable of. I am not saying they are going to start tomorrow but it is an opportunity for them.

"He is chomping at the bit. There are a few of them, like Matty and Carlos, they are all chomping at the bit. Robbie is ready to go, he has trained well this week and we will see tomorrow whether we start him or he comes on for the second half."
