Blackburn Rovers boss Paul Ince is convinced Robbie Fowler has the class to make a Premiership impact - if he can prove his fitness.

"You never lose it," said Ince, referring to Fowler's predatory instincts. "It's like riding a bike - you don't suddenly forget how to do it.

"Robbie has scored goals all of his life, and all of his career, even in the last couple of years, when he hasn't always played.

"But, first and foremost, we need to have a look at him over the next two or three weeks, assess his fitness, and then we'll go from there."
