Blackburn Rovers boss Mark Hughes believes young fullback Martin Olsson has a big role to play this season.

After Olsson's showing against Preston, Hughes said: "Martin Olsson is a young player we've got high hopes for. I thought he did really well and he enjoyed his taste of first team football.

"We've got a lot of options. We lost Bruno Berner during the week. His operation's gone well so we're delighted with that, it was fairly straight forward and he should be back in quick time."
