Blackburn Rovers boss Mark Hughes had no complaints over Roque Santa Cruz after the Paraguay striker's performance in Saturday's 5-3 defeat at Wigan.

"I thought Roque was absolutely immense for us," said Hughes of the hat-trick hero.

"For long periods, he was ploughing a lone furrow but he kept going, showed great determination, and some fantastic goals as well.

"We scored three goals away from home and, certainly, I expect us to take something out of games if we're able to do that."
