Blackburn Rovers boss Mark Hughes has a release clause in his new three-year deal - should England come knocking.

The Sun says Hughes, 44, is seen as one of the rising stars of the management game having done such a good job at Ewood Park.

That was recognised when he signed a new £40,000-a-week, three-year contract last Friday.

But the former Wales chief has left the door open if England come calling.

His Welsh roots would not count against him with the FA if they decided he was the right man for the Three Lions.
