Blackburn Rovers boss Mark Hughes was delighted to see Matt Derbyshire get on the scoresheet in their 1-1 draw with Middlesbrough.
Hughes said: "Whenever Matt comes on as a substitute, invariably he has an impact, and that's why he's such a good player to have available to you.
"He's always looking to get on the end of things in the box, and he's nice and sharp, and nice and dynamic, and thankfully the ball broke to him and it was a good finish in fairness.
"I thought he tucked it away very calmly and you hope at that point you can go on from there."
