Blackburn Rovers boss Mark Hughes is keen for David Bentley to avoid comparisons with LA Galaxy's David Beckham.

Hughes, who played with Beckham at Manchester United, said: "Don't just label Bentley a David Beckham clone - he has a lot to his game and is a different player. Every day he comes in and tries to improve and make himself better.

"I've worked with David Beckham as well and I know that was a big quality of his.

"If there is a similarity it's the way they approach their work in a professional manner."
