Blackburn Rovers boss Michael Appleton hopes to build their future around Scott Dann.

Dann has been linked with Arsenal and Liverpool, but was made Rovers captain by Appleton yesterday.

"I've seen a leader in Scott, he leads by example. He enjoys defending and he's quite vocal on the training ground and in the games," said the manager.
